Alpha ports are integrated at the inlet and outlet of isolators and transmission systems, and Beta ports (stainless steel, plastic or aluminum containers) can be docked. The door of the Alpha port can be opened from the inside through the glove port to place the material into the Beta container. Only when the Alpha port door is closed can the Beta container be disengaged from docking

The transmission system is composed of two main components, Alpha component and Beta component, each of which has the functions of door, seal and interlock. Alpha components are usually installed in the isolator or glove box wall, while Beta components are removable and used to transport materials. When these two components are matched, materials can enter and exit quickly without damaging the airtight condition. The interlock system on the Alpha port ensures a safe and reliable Alpha-Beta connection. The Beta component must be properly connected to open the Alpha component door.
